What is the Listening Space
The Listening Space is a place where judgement, shame and criticism wait at the door. It is a place where listening to what is being said in the room is the norm, not just listening to what is being said but making sure we give you the space to be yourself so we can fully understand what you are saying. In this space, it is an equal playing field to work in collaboration to connect the dots to issues you are facing so you can move forward in life.
Someone once told me that therapy starts with 2 strangers in a room who are working with some sort of chaos. I stand by that, and it is my approach to counselling as a whole.
The Listening Space is the brainchild of me, Kris. I am a counselling student working towards my Level 4 in Counselling. I am currently in placement, undertaking 100 hours of working with clients. I am coming to the end of the first year of the course, and very much looking forward to seeing what the second year will bring.
